Offshore Wind Poland

Poland’s largest offshore wind energy conference is approaching. The event is organised by the Polish Wind Energy Association (PWEA) and will take place in Warsaw on 21-22 November 2023. As the PWEA underlines - the expected capacity increase in offshore wind farms from 5 to 12 GW by 2030 is a landmark step towards the dynamic development of this new sector in Poland – although the industry is well aware that the potential of the Polish part of the Baltic Sea is much larger!

The programme of the conference focuses on panel debates (i.e. on status of administrative procedures, a vision for offshore wind development in Poland, benefits and opportunities for the economy and society) and thematic roundtables and workshops (i.e. on challenges of the 2nd phase of the OWE development in Poland, education and skills, preparation of Polish service and installation ports and O&M strategies for Polish projects, non-price criteria in offshore wind auctions, QHSE in the offshore wind sector, designing auctions for OWFs in Poland, potential of Polish service companies, how to harness the potential of the Polish industry in the offshore wind sector, the state security, case study on stakeholder cooperation in offshore wind projects, the potential of Polish industry in floating wind & how effective partnerships drives success in the offshore wind).

Just as last year, PIB Cluster Linked by Offshore Wind is one of the main international partners of the conference. Therefore, there is a special invitation for Dutch companies which includes:

• Separate Dutch room for meetings

• B2B meetings with the Polish developers and local supply chain companies

• B2B meetings with Norweb – Nordic companies

• Opportunity to participate in the panels as a speaker

• List of participants upfront

• Part of the panels in English, other parts are translated

Participation fee:
• €550 net for companies.
• Free for PIB members (one ticket per PIB company).

The conference will be the first major event on the energy transition after the Polish parliamentary elections (15 October) - so it will be an opportunity to learn about the possible consequences for the development of the offshore wind energy industry in Poland. This makes it all the more worth attending. For questions (no applications) send an email to e.vandenburg@linkedbyoffshorewind.eu or p.wrobel@linkedbyoffshorewind.eu
